Self-described as Ghostbusters meets Dawn of the Dead with a little Twilight Zone thrown in, LIVE-EVIL is a new budget horror film from director Ari Kirschenbaum.
It stars Candyman himself, Tony Todd (Candyman, The Flash), Charlene Amoia (How I Met Your Mother), and Vladimir Kulich (Smokin’ Aces, The Equalizer) among others.
The plot revolves around a small college town police station that finds itself besieged by “Evil” on a sleepy Halloween night. The sheriff and his deputy are thrown into the middle of an unholy chess-game that could destroy the town and possibly the world.
Budget films are usually more miss than hit, but every now and then a Sam Raimi or a Peter Jackson emerges. Let’s hope this is one of those.
