So, I imagine at least a handful of you have seen the latest sci-fi film from director Ridley Scott. Prometheus has been out a good two weeks around the globe and to mixed degrees. All part of the plan of course as writer Damon Lindelof (of LOST tv fame) has said publicly that one of the goals of the movie was to stimulate debate amongst viewers. It seems that debate is being encouraged far beyond the watching of the film itself as apparently the end credits included a link to this site that contains a video featuring the Alien-verse’s equivalent to Bill Gates, Peter Weyland.
The last time we saw Weyland (outside of the movie) he was introducing the world (via a TED talk) to the first android, a robot named David, that’s indistinguishable from humans. This new and very brief video clip seems to have been shot just before he goes on stage for the aforementioned TED talk. He mumbles some words and then the clip ends. What does it all mean, possibly a connection to the book [Thus Spake Zarathustra, by Friedrich Nietzsche] that’s headlined on the mysterious website or possibly we have to wait for this upcoming date October 11th, 2012. I expect we’ll soon find out.
