UPDATE: So, it’s official then; the next Bond film will be subtitled SPECTRE which suggests that the infamous terrorist organization will be the focus of this new outing. For Marvel comics nerds, Spectre is the James Bond equivalent to something like Hydra. They’re a shadowy organization with operatives everywhere and because of that, they control much of the world’s machinations unbeknownst to the good guys. The head of Spectre is a character by the name of Blofeld and has appeared with his fluffy cat in previous Bond films. We’re talking Sean Connery and Roger Moore era. It’ll be interesting to see what elements of the books characterization of the Spectre organization make it into these new movies as the previous films were less than faithful to the source.
Moving on, the film plans to lens in Austria, London, Morocco, Rome, and Mexico City over a 7 month period beginning Monday, Dec 8th. Much of the film crew behind Skyfall, along with the exact writing team behind the last film will return this outing. The cinematographer is Hoyte Van Hoytema and previously shot INTERSTELLAR and other films such as Let The Right One In and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Here are the official crew and cast members.
