Could this be an inadvertent first look at Guillermo Del Toro’s upcoming giant monster film Pacific Rim? Count on 6 degrees of separation to net us an exclusive. Sometimes it pays to know someone, who knows someone, who knows someone.
Through the miracle of Facebook image tagging, this image popped up on our Facebook walls and with it our first look at what could possibly, maybe, probably be the human vehicles from the film. This is actually a cropped version of the originally posted photograph which itself included some very obvious clues to the film. Namely the talent involved on the project and the caption on the Facebook image that directly references the location of the shoot.
No monsters or robots unfortunately, but as excited as we are about this film…we’ll take what we can get. Click the image for larger version.

UPDATE: We’ve sadly received several solid confirmations that this is in fact not from Pacific Rim.
Del Toro promises some news about the film, coming fairly soonish so, I guess it’s the agonizing wait till then.
