The story: On a sleepy South American coastal town, where life passes with little drama, mysterious glowing orbs start to appear and disappear without trace before the governmental science team get on-site. They seem to be harmless until some young children touch one, instantly being struck blind before the town is hit by a sudden and devastating storm.

Why read it?: Author of the contemporary classic, DC New Frontier, Darwyn Cooke is one of those creators that you follow on to every project, be it as artist or writer/artist. His work here is a crisp and stylish as ever, and coupled with a really intriguing story The Twilight Children promises to be the best mini-series Vertigo have put out in quite some time.

A UK based Contributor; Richard Reynolds splits his time writing articles and interviews for Fanboy Confidential with running his own comicbook shop, Ground Zero Comics, as well as sticking his thumb in far too many pies, including illustration, writing and filmmaking, he also consumes fiction in all its forms like its going out of fashion.
