First Issue: James Bond 007

Story: After taking out revenge at the death of 008, James Bond is tasked with coving 008’s workload in the face of the government trying to close down the 00 program and placing red-tape around his usual cache of weaponry.


Why read it?: Come on… Warren Ellis writing James Bond?!!! That should be enough but it’s more than just that, Ellis presents a Bond that would never make it to film, a Bond who cuts enemies fingers off with a spade, a bond who suffers due to governmental restrictions and international politics; yet it’s still like Bond, just Bond with a contemporary edge. Also, unlike a lot of Dynamite books, the art ain’t half bad.
