E32014 Our TOP 5 Hope To See Period Games

It’s that time of year, in just a matter of days the gaming community will be in California for the Comicon of videogames; the Electronics and Entertainment Expo or E3. A ton of games and related news will be announced; games we’ve been anticipating (and ones we didn’t even know existed) will be taken out of their wrapping. Here are just 5 of the games we desperately hope to see make an appearance during the convention.

The Last Guardian (PS4)
From the creator of ICO and SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS. This game has been in development for years! We hope 2014 will be the year when we can finally know if this game is happening or not.

Cyberpunk 2077 (PC, TBA)
Take the best guys from the dev team that brought you THE WITCHER series and put them with the creator of the most popular cyberpunk pen-paper RPG and you’ve got the makings of the best cyberpunk action role playing game around. This teaser from some time ago should wet your whistle for what could be. We hope to see something more at the convention.

New IP from NINJA THEORY (TBA)
Ninja Theory brought us HEAVENLY SWORD, ENSLAVED, and a surprisingly great remake of the DEVIL MAY CRY series. We’re at attention for whatever they’ve got coming up. Rumor has it we can expect to see something very soon. Something in the mystery gothic steam punk arena.

New IP from PLATINUM GAMES (TBA)
They brought us BAYONETTA, VANQUISH, and METAL GEAR RISING. If it’s crazy over the top hyper-kinetic action gameplay you’re looking for, or strange weird Japanese nonsense stories you love, you need not look beyond the team at PG. We’re looking forward to seeing the rumored X1 exclusive that they’ve been working on.

New Old game from RARE (TBA)
Back when they worked exclusively for Nintendo, RARE created a boat load of game changing titles. DONKEY KONG COUNTRY, KILLER INSTINCT, PERFECT DARK, and on and on. Now they’re churning out mediocre titles at best and all indications are that they’re itching for Microsoft to set them loose to innovate on fun again. We’re hoping to see something New or Old-made-new-again from them.
