Devil’s Third is Ninja Gaiden-like with every weapon you can think of. A behind-the-scenes video for the Nintendo exclusive hit the interwebs during E3 2015 and it looks surprisingly great.
As a huge fan of the Ninja Gaiden and DOA action/fighting game series it was disappointing that Tomonobu Itagaki’s latest potential franchise appeared to be headed for the dead pile. Fortunately it was resurrected by Nintendo (they did the same with the Bayonetta sequel which was also a dead project), but of course not being a Nintendo platform owner (I’ve moved on) it was again disappointing that I wouldn’t be getting the chance to play this game, but it’s great to see that the title is looking great (for a Wii U game) and up to snuff for a developer of Itagaki’s pedigree. Nintendo should be applauded for having the vision to save yet another great developer from extinction. I hope this game can find an audience and fingers crossed we can finally get a new AAA title out to X1/PS4 sometime soon.
The game hits the Wii U on August 4th, 2015 and here’s a Japanese only look at the game. Gameplay footage is interspersed throughout the video with lots of great footage of the sword, baseball bat, and gun play you can get up to.
